Shiva Ayurvedic Hospital is a 100-bedded hospital with a full pathology lab, AERB certified X-ray unit, operation theatre, Panchakarma centre, and 24-hour casualty services. BAMS students receive hands-on clinical training from the very first year — in a real working hospital, not a simulation room.

Shiva Educational Society was formed in 2006 with a clear purpose — to bring quality higher education to students of Himachal Pradesh, particularly in the Bilaspur district. We began with Shiva College of Education at Ghumarwin in 2007, which was the first private college of education in the entire district.
Over the years, we added Shiva Institute of Pharmacy and Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital. Today, all three professional institutions are fully approved by the Central and State Government and affiliated to recognised universities. Students from Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra, Shimla, and neighbouring states study here with full confidence in the value of their degrees.

Yes, fully. Our programmes are approved by NCISM (New Delhi), PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), and NCTE (New Delhi). We are affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and HPTU, Hamirpur. Every degree is valid across India for government and private jobs.
Yes. Our 100-bedded NABH accredited hospital — the only one in District Bilaspur — gives BAMS students real ward experience from Year 1. The Pharmacy college has a dedicated Animal House, Medicinal Garden, and specialised labs for hands-on training.
We have separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, 24-hour security on campus, student transport, and a counselling and mentoring system. Our campuses are situated in a peaceful, pollution-free environment away from city distractions.
BAMS graduates can practise independently and join government AYUSH services. Pharmacy graduates are placed in pharma companies, hospitals, and research labs. B.Ed graduates are eligible for government school teaching jobs. We have active placement support and industry MOUs in place.
Our principal at Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sood, has over 30 years of academic experience and has guided more than 50 PG students. Our pharmacy faculty has published 13 patents and 16 research papers. Teaching quality is a priority, not just a claim.

To apply for BAMS, the student must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects, with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). The student must also have cleared the NEET UG examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Admission is based on NEET merit.
Yes, absolutely. Our BAMS programme is approved by NCISM (National Commission for Indian System of Medicine), New Delhi, and affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. BAMS graduates are eligible to register with the HP Ayurvedic Medical Council and apply for AYUSH government posts.

Yes. Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls on all our campuses. The hostels provide a safe, supervised environment with meals, 24-hour security, and warden oversight. Outstation students from across Himachal Pradesh and neighbouring states regularly avail our hostel facility.
Yes. Shiva Ayurvedic Hospital is a fully functional 100-bedded teaching hospital with a pathology lab, AERB certified X-ray unit, operation theatre, Panchakarma centre, and 24-hour emergency services. It is NABH Accredited — the only such accredited teaching hospital in the entire Bilaspur district. Students begin clinical postings from Year 1.
Pharmacy graduates can work in pharmaceutical companies, hospital pharmacies, drug regulatory agencies, research labs, and retail pharmacy. B.Pharm holders can also pursue M.Pharm for research or academia. D.Pharm holders can register as a licensed pharmacist and open their own medical shop. The pharmaceutical sector in India is one of the largest employers today.
For BAMS and BAMS-related programmes, admission is through NEET UG counselling conducted by HP state authorities. For B.Pharm and other programmes, admission is merit-based with direct applications. Yes. B.Ed is mandatory for teaching at the secondary and senior secondary levels in government and private schools. Our B.Ed programme is NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) recognised and HP University affiliated. Graduates are eligible to appear in the HP TET and other state teacher eligibility tests.
Yes. Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College has an active MOU with M/s Biosash Business Pvt. Ltd. for placement, training, and research collaboration. Our pharmacy graduates are regularly placed in reputed pharmaceutical companies. The College of Education maintains strong connections with schools across Himachal Pradesh for teaching placements.
The medium of instruction is English for all professional programmes (BAMS, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, MD Ayurveda). For B.Ed, both English and Hindi are used as per the university curriculum. Faculty members are fluent in Hindi and support students from Hindi-medium backgrounds throughout the course.
